DriftWarden is a milestone planning and review tool for game-production leaders. DriftWarden is a product of New Game Plus Leadership and Consulting LLC ("we," "us"). This page explains how DriftWarden handles the information you put into it, the AI it uses, and how long data is kept.
DriftWarden is an early-access product. These practices are current as of the date above and will be expanded as the product matures. Where a detail is still being finalized, we say so rather than overstating it.
Our handling principles
AI proposes, you confirm. DriftWarden uses AI to suggest structure, surface risks, and flag possible drift. Nothing becomes a confirmed plan update or a recorded change without your review.
Low retention by default. Documents you upload, notes you paste, and transcripts you bring in for analysis are kept only as long as needed to complete the workflow you started, then removed. Details below.
You can redact before AI processing. You can replace names and custom terms in a document, note, or conversation before it is sent for AI-assisted analysis.
AI features and provider
DriftWarden uses AI for milestone document mapping on import, the Assist planning helper, the Readiness Review, and analysis of external notes for possible drift.
Our AI provider is Anthropic, which processes DriftWarden's AI requests through its commercial API. Under Anthropic's Commercial Terms, Anthropic does not use API inputs or outputs to train its models by default. Anthropic deletes API inputs and outputs from its systems within 30 days by default; content that its trust-and-safety systems flag, or that is subject to a legal hold, may be retained longer (up to 2 years). We will keep this section current as providers or terms change.
What we keep, and for how long
Milestone documents you import. The original file you upload is not stored. During the review step, we temporarily hold the extracted text and the proposed field mapping so you can accept or edit it. Once you create the draft plan, the sensitive contents of that import session are scrubbed. Unfinished import sessions expire and are cleaned up automatically.
External notes, meeting notes, and transcripts (drift intake). When you queue a note or file for drift analysis, its text is held only until the analysis runs. After a successful analysis, the queued source is deleted. What remains is only the change you choose to apply, its rationale, the source category (for example, "meeting notes"), and an optional short source label — not the raw source text.
Assist chat. Normal conversation with Assist is kept as history so you can refer back to it. If you paste a long block of source-like material into chat, that block is used for the request and then replaced with a deletion placeholder rather than stored in full.
What you intentionally save. The structured milestone plan, the baseline, confirmed changes, the drift log, and risks you record stay in your workspace until you delete them or close your account.
Retention cleanup runs on an automated schedule to remove expired import sessions, analyzed drift-intake sources, and ephemeral chat material.
Your controls
You can redact identifying terms before AI processing, export your milestone plan, baseline, and drift log as Word documents at any time, and delete plans from your workspace.
Security
Authentication is handled by Clerk. Your data is stored in a Supabase (PostgreSQL) database hosted in the US East (North Virginia) region, and the application is hosted on Vercel.
Your data is encrypted at rest with AES-256 and in transit with TLS, on both Supabase and Vercel. Both infrastructure providers maintain SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO 27001 certifications; those certifications cover our infrastructure providers, not DriftWarden itself. Application access is limited to active accounts.
The database is backed up daily, with several days of retention, and point-in-time recovery is available as an option.

We use the following providers to operate DriftWarden. This list is current as of the date above and may change:
- Anthropic — AI processing
- Clerk — authentication
- Supabase — database and data storage
- Vercel — application hosting
- Stripe — payment processing (used if and when you purchase a paid subscription)
- IONOS — domain and business email
We do not currently use a third-party analytics provider in the application.
Data location
DriftWarden is operated from the United States. The application database is hosted through Supabase in the US East (North Virginia) region. Service providers and their subprocessors may process limited technical data in other locations where they operate.

We will update this page as DriftWarden's practices, providers, or terms change, and will note the effective date above.
